It takes a certain amount of fearlessness and consciousness to create a brand. This is like those that seek the thrill of bungee jumping or sky diving w/o the concept of courage. In my opinion, with this, if you ever decide to get into, branding yourself or instituting some form of corporate thought you must know that it will not work if you have mixed emotions. You must have a clear mission first, then progress toward making your statement. When I worked for MBNA for three years, my first long-term job and I learned a lot about the negatives of business. I also learned about the ideal of attraction that precedes a forecasting of any event in any environment. Charles Cawley gave a dark presence to the inner audience of the brand. Dark as, Ron Hubbard and Parsons inability to close that portal. We’ve motivated thought so that reality and myth have merged. We would look at the newsletter’s passed around the office and be in awe when we saw someone black pictured with the president of the company [which happened once].yellow tree Just recently we launched a site for NoHeart. DA, NotCot, Surfstation and some others posted about this recent launch as well. Sophia Stewart told me, “Once you start a brand, you can sell any product”. It’s not the product, its not the name nor is it the pitch. It is the dark aura that you organically grow around your brand. No one knows what this dark matter is other than those inside of it. The inner audience of the brand will be the only source responsible for the mediation of the theoretical, philosophical and historical facts associated with and within the corporate identity. This goes throughout the branches, so don’t shoot the messenger or the guy that sent the message. Shoot both of them and the person who owns the building they are in writing these so-called messages. If you are afraid of death, read Brother Pascal Beverly Randolph, here are some of his magical words: “…the human soul is in reality an emanation from DEITY, — the august GOD, and that to it he has imparted original and essential knowledge, the organs of which are so many windows for his multitudinous outlooks upon the vast sea, whereon floats all matter, with its accidents, like so many tiny shallops on the calm bosom of a silver-breasted lake! However earnestly a number of men may accept or believe a thing, doctrine, dogma, or system, it by no means follows that they believe the truth; but when universal Man not only assents to, but in some form affirms, the existence of a God supreme, their conceptions may not be correct, but it is certain that there must be a ground for their belief, — a God somewhere in the universe. Let us reflect but one moment, as, admitting the idleness of all these avatar dreams of past ages, we take a look at the vast machine, — the universe, — a mere speck of which we are ourselves, and all our doubts will vanish, as do vapors before the mountain blast, or suddenly uprisen sun; for the proofs of God’s existence do not come singly, or weakly, but rush in mighty, resistless armies, upon our half reluctant souls ; sweeping all our doubts away like straws before the gale! True, we may not be able to satisfactorily locate or personify Deity, but cannot help admitting the existence of a great and mysterious power, in constant action, and which, for want of a better term, we call God. When a man has thus pondered, and attained this grand conviction, true happiness and true progress have begun.”
